Awesome.
I die. I was in such a bad mood today until I read this. It's only a little thing but I love it when musicians take the time to write something like this. =]

Movie Review: Away We Go.
WELL. I just watched this movie yesterday and I LOVED IT. It's super cute but yet not overly cheesy. It's beyond funny and I really loved every minute of it. It's a great story and it's pretty original. It stars John Krasinski as Burt Farlander and Maya Rudolph as Verona De Tessant. It's directed by Sam Mendes and it's written by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida. Here's the plot summary from IMDb:
"Mid-thirtysomethings Burt Farlander and Verona De Tessant are a loving couple. Burt has always wanted to marry Verona, but Verona resists, not seeing the point of the institution. Regardless, they are having a baby together, despite questioning their potential parenting abilities. They are happy that they made the decision to move close to Burt's parents, Jerry and Gloria Farlander, as they want to share the experience with the baby's grandparents. Verona's own parents died over ten years earlier, a situation about which she doesn't like to discuss. In Verona's sixth month, she and Burt learn that Jerry and Gloria are moving to Antwerpen, Belgium the month before the baby is due, just because it's something they've always wanted to do. Burt and Verona don't understand what they see as Jerry and Gloria's selfishness in putting this move above spending time with their impending granddaughter. Being mobile people, Burt and Verona decide to move. As they want to share their new family experience with people that they love, they decide to take a trans-continental trip to meet with old friends and relatives. Most of them are married with children of their own, and Burt and Verona want to see where they would like to live and with whom they want to share the experience."
I highly recommend it to EVERYONE. Rudolph and Krasinski's chemistry on-screen is remarkable and it's so enjoyable to see them interact with one another. It depicts a relationship between two people that love each other very much and it's a rare to find such a connection between two people. It's a shame that this movie wasn't a bigger hit but I think it'll be one of those cult movies. It definitely reminds me of movies like Juno and Garden State. It's shot in a similar way as Garden State and I love it. And like those movies, it had an incredible soundtrack of primarily including songs by Alexi Murdoch. The rest including The Strangers, Bob Dylan, The Velvet Underground, and George Harrison. The song featured in the trailer is All My Days by Alexi Murdoch. I really can't wait to purchase this DVD.
Fun Fact: The film was actually consider a "green" film because they thought that film sets usually waste so much and they wanted to try and be environmentally friendly. They worked diligently to reuse things and not waste time with water bottles. It's such a hippie thing to do and I loved it!

Whatever.
It's been a SUPER long time since I posted anything. I apologize. But my sleeping patterns have been so jacked up, I never really feel like doing much of anything. I've been feeling sick as well. But it wasn't because of stress or anything like that, thankfully. However, now it is. James got his financial aid check FINALLY in the mail yesterday. Since we currently don't have a bank account because that scam some guy pulled on us, he went to Integra Bank thinking he could open up a new one since I paid the bank all the money they were asking for and since the man who was "helping" me said that if I paid it the fraud would be off of our credit. Apparently not. James couldn't open an account because it's still on our credit. And I don't have the number for the "helpful" man. I'm hoping my mom still has it.
Now that I've been put through a horrible scam process, I don't really trust anyone. So I'm freaking out that somehow this guy calling saying he was with US Bank was a scam too and I lost $1400. And if that's the case, I'd still owe US Bank. I'm really really freaking out. But I'm going to my mom's today so hopefully we can get this straighten out.
It's funny because I think back to a few years ago when I was super depressed...I wish for that time back...because the amount of hardship and pain dealing with all of this. I feel like a complete failure. And I don't have a job and I'm not in school anymore. I'm pretty much right. But...I know that I had to move out and if I moved out, I couldn't work at Target or go to NKU... I'm letting people get to me though. Like my father. I asked him for some money so I couldn't maybe get some dinner since we're living with James' mom and she's on food stamps and a set income...and there's not really much food in the house. Of course he said no. "You quit your job and you're not in school. I'm not giving you any money. You should just move back home."
I keep making plans trying to make something out of my life...but things keep stopping me. I'm going to give up soon because I see no point in trying any longer.

Developments.
So, I got a tattoo. And we've just been super busy doing a bunch of random things.
It's pretty much finished. I'm going to go back in like two weeks and he's going to go over the black again. But that's only because my skin wouldn't really take the black. It still looks amazing. I'm also going to put the word "infinite" under it next to the tail. Obviously, because The Perks Of Being A Wallflower is one of my favorites.
Anyway, my boyfriend [James] has been busy with his NEW BAND. They are actually really good. I'm surprised because the type of music really isn't my thing. But it's really good. And some of the songs have a good message while others are just fun. Even though some are about marijuana and even though I'm straightedge. Oh well. But yeah, you should definitely check them out AND add them. And if you're feeling randy, buy a shirt!

We Need To Be Together, Like The Shore And The Sea.
I could be living here soon. With a group of amazing people. It's a big move but it's the fact that I will have someone around everyday that will understand exactly what I mean when I say "I miss Cocoa." Having just one person around from that community is what I need right now. I feel bad being excited because I'm leaving my friends and family...but how can I not be excited for something that could fix my life? I'm in a runt. I feel like I've constantly been in a runt since who knows when... I just really hope people understand that I really need this. We really need this. I just want people to get that...

So Tell The Martyrs To Wait At The Gate.
Envy On The Coast
I really love them. I first started listening to them when they were the opening band for Anberlin, who opened up for Taking Back Sunday awhile back at Bogart's. And it was an amazing discovery. I really really really LOVE Ryan Hunter's voice. And he's dreamy. =] What with his sweet dreadlocks and tank tops...Anyway, another AMAZING quality is the fact my boyfriend actually likes them which is weird and rare because he's primarily into metal and just strange music. But he really enjoys Hunter's voice and as well the drummer Dan Gluszak, who left the band in February unfortunately. According to their blog on MySpace, Gluszak said that him leaving the band "was the result of an overwhelmingly complex series of issues between [himself] and them over a long period of time." Thankfully, no hard feelings.
But I digress. Sadly when I went to see Taking Back Sunday, we were a little late and we only caught the last two songs for EOTC but they were two GREAT songs. I was really excited because they played "The Gift of Paralysis" as their last song and that was my favorite song at the moment. But I never really listened to anything else except "Sugar Skulls," "The Gift of Paralysis," and "Artist and Repertoire." One day I was cleaning my room and I just put Envy On The Coast on via my Xbox 360 so that I could use our make-shift home theater system. And it put me in such a good mood because not only is Hunter's voice completely amazing but the musical composition backing him is equally amazing and definitely brings out the best of his voice. And I also absolutely love their lyrics. For example:
"Green Eyes Don't Lie" off of their self-titled EP released in 2006
So did the thought cross your mind -
That there is something more to life,
Than bed sheets and blankets, full of lies?
Will they ever learn, ever learn?
---
Five to one, to five to one, to one to five,
The lies, the lust, the trust, the random loveless fucks,
The lust, the lust, the lust, the lust, the lust.
The shorter the skirt, the greater the fame.
"Tell Them She's Not Scared" off of their debut album Lucy Gray released in 2007
Wake, wake, wake her
From this sea of white linens and
Extract the drugs from her dreams
And sew her seams with delicateness,
'Cause beneath her chest sits the heart that I live for,
You'd kill for,
The angels would die for.
And with a subtle wink and a flutter of wings,
They whispered
I really haven't found a problem with them yet. I thoroughly enjoy listening to them. The lyrics are powerful and are definitely reaching their highest potential with Hunter's fantastic vocals. What my boyfriend and I thought was that his voice is slightly similar to Incubus' Brandon Boyd but still with his own style. They definitely aren't like any of the scene bands out today and I was actually really surprised that they opened for Taking Back Sunday but hey, a gig is a gig. I absolutely COMPLETELY recommend getting Lucy Gray as well as their self-titled EP. And their new album should be coming out in late February or early March of 2010 entitled Lowcountry. Do it. I'll leave you with lyrics from the song "Lapse." It is utterly amazing. Very powerful stuff.
A story where the hero dies without regard
Made sure that the needle was clean
When I let myself fall asleep
And all I kept was a piece of your picture
Slipped through my fingers when I slid into my dreams
It's not as deep as it seems
And as unfair as it may be
I'm just here to remind you
Remind you not to forget to remember me
P.S. "(x) Amount Of Truth" is SUPER creepy/awesome and I love every single second of it!
P.S.S. GO CHECK OUT THEIR MYSPACE!
P.S.S.S. They did a remake of "These Words" by Natasha Bedingfield. It's a live version from one of their shows and I love it so much more. <3

Coming SOON...still.
I'm driving a bunch tomorrow, so I will be listening to Ace Enders the entire time so I can give you the best blog EVER about him. I currently have every single song I could find by the man, so it should be a good day. I would do it now but it has been a beyond horrible day. I can barely keep my eyes open right now. I don't see how I'm tired...But I am. Anyway, I will really REALLY try to blog tomorrow. My life is being super crazy right now and I'm not exactly enjoying it. But oh well. I will try, believe me!

Unbelievable.
I found this fan site on Facebook. I've never been so angry. So, I said something to them. I really couldn't just sit there and read what they were saying without saying anything.
DefendMarriage (1 man + 1 woman)
"I am by far not a fan of any of this. But the things I've read here are appalling. I'm sure I know more about the Bible and Christianity more then you people do. I went to Catholic school from Kindergarden to my senior year of high school. And I've taken quite a few religion classes in college. People only read what they want to hear. Jesus taught to love everyone. And I would be ashamed if my followers were unable to do that.
People keep saying that gay marriage is going to ruin the whole idea of marriage but I really don't see how that is even possible. Not everyone is gay. There are still straight people out there and I'm pretty sure they will still want to get married.
I'm going to make a broad assumption here but I highly doubt I'm incorrect...Do any of you feel that interracial marriage is a bad thing? This is primary directed toward the white people in this group, obviously. I really don't mean to offend anyone but you people obviously have no problem with that.
I'd like to specifically regard one person. Christina R. Perkins. Marriage is about love. I'm not planning on marrying my boyfriend because of God. I'm planning on marrying him because I LOVE him and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. Now, my friend Brittny is in LOVE with her girlfriend, Jackie. They want... to spend the rest of their life together...I honestly don't think Jesus or God would be offended by that. Would you rather Brittny marry a woman...or kill people? It's a touch decision, I know. I have LOVE tattooed on my wrist because I believe in it more then anything else in the world. All we do need is love. And has to start here, with you people actually LOVING all of God's people.
And please, do not get me started on the Bible. It's primarily fictional to teach lessons. The lessons taught with the Bible are to love one another and to respect the power of God. And to follow the commandments. I'm pretty sure "You must marry your opposite sex" is not one of them. If God felt is was one of the hig...hest "rules" to follow, wouldn't he have put it on there? These are the things that I were taught to follow in school when I was younger and that was my ticket into Heaven, so to speak.
People seem to keep referring to the term "liberal," which is defined as being "tolerant of change." Crazy people these days give that world a bad name because they are purposely forcing change unto others just to be different. I guess I would consider myself a liberal because I tolerate change. I respect your religi...ous beliefs. But this isn't the same. You are purposely disrespecting people. And it makes me sick. I hope someday you learn respect. That's some tradition that you seem to have forgotten."

Sooooon.
Sorry I have posted anything in a couple of days. I've been crazy busy since I just starting selling AVON and looking into dirty windows looking for a good spot for a record store. And scoping out apartments. James has two job interviews tomorrow. We're also going to look at an apartment as well as a store front. It would be a great opportunity because it actually includes 4 apartments and two store fronts. And it is conveniently located right next door to the shop that James is going to start piercing at soon. This all seems to fit. I really hope it works out because I would really love to have a record store. And be an adult. Right... Anyway, wish me luck! It's going to be a long day tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll post tomorrow night if I'm not too tired. I've been listening to basically everything Ace Enders has created that I can find on the internet and I'm forming a slight love for him and his music. So, be prepared! I love anyone who reads this. =]
P.S. Some sweet pictures from Halloween!

New album: Anywhere But Here.
Pretty new. It came out On October 6th. I ordered it
via Amazon. Of course, it was suppose to take 2
days but actually took 6 days. I was REALLY excited
for this CD. I love Mayday Parade. A Lesson In
Romantics is another one of those top albums of
mine.
Sadly, the lead vocalist Jason Lancaster left
the band shortly after Lesson was released and
Derek Sanders took over lead vocals. I think this
hurt them. Lancaster has a voice that is a little
different from the others singers that are out
there today but Sanders sounds a bit generic.
However, their lyrics are still really good, so I'm
glad they have that going for them at least.
I hate it when bands release their second album
and it doesn't live up to what I expect at all. I
hate being disappointed by my favorite bands.
However if you're interested it more of
Lancaster, he is now the lead vocalist for
Go Radio. Once I get their EP, I'll probably
do a review of it. So be excited! Anyway.
Like I said, Anywhere is pretty much the
generic, emo/pop-punk stuff that's out
currently. Good lyrics but other then that,
they aren't really anything to get excited
over at this point in time. I was even
considering driving all the way to Cleveland
again to see them on tour with The Academy
Is... but they aren't worth and I don't really
like TAI's new stuff either. Double not worth.
But check it out if you haven't already.
And definitely check out Go Radio.
Top Three Songs:
Kids In Love.
Anywhere But Here.
Save Your Heart.
(Still Breathing is pretty good as well).
"Save your heart,
For someone that's worth dying for
Don't give it away.
Save your heart,
For someone who leaves you breathless.
And I know that you're scared.
Seems like someone said you had it in you.
All along you said you knew this was wrong,
But still worth dying for."

New album: Daisy.
It's not really "new". It's been out for a month.
But this is new and I do what I want. Anyway.
At first, I was not a fan. I listened to their
single "At The Bottom" on their MySpace and
wasn't really impressed at first. I think that has
more to do with what I think Brand New is as a
band. Your Favorite Weapon and Deja Entendu
are literally in my top 10 favorite albums, Deja
being number 1. When The Devil And God Are
Raging Inside Of Me came out, I wasn't as thrilled
about it. I really loved "Jesus Christ" but
everything else I was a little 'eh'.
But all of that changed when I went to Cleveland
to see Brand New (a five hour drive at that).
Literally the best show I've ever seen.
No joke. And actually hearing "At The Bottom"
live along with many others from the new album
definitely changed my perception of the whole
thing. Jesse Lacey's voice just makes everything
sound amazing. And when he sang "Okay,
I Believe You..." every single person at the venue
knew the words and it was just a surreal
experience.
I also like to add that Manchester Orchestra was
also unbelievably amazing. Andy Hull has such
a raw voice. And it's really not what you expect
from a man with such an epic beard. When they
performed "The River", it was absolutely
incredible. I remember turning around to my
friend and just saying 'Wow.' But I digress.
Daisy as an album is pretty ridiculously good. I
may have a slight soft spot for Brand New but I
really enjoy Lacey's overall vocals as well as
lyrics. It's very obvious the band has matured
as a whole but it still has the essence which
makes the band Brand New. His voice sounds
a lot different and at first I was a little
reluctant but I'm enjoying the route they are
going with their music. And actually seeing
them live and listening to Daisy, I've begun to
like The Devil And God a whole lot more.
Overall, I definitely recommend this CD to
EVERYONE, if you know what's good for you.

At The Bottom
Daisy
"I'm a mountain that has been moved
I'm a river that is all dried up
I'm an ocean nothing floats on
I'm a sky that nothing wants to fly in
I'm a sun that doesn't burn hot
I'm a moon that never shows its face
I'm a mouth that doesn't smile
I'm a word that no one ever wants to say..."

Beginnings.
"I got my disease when I was young. I put my records on, and around I spun. It's been that way for years, But now I've grown tired."
Well, I'm not really sure how to go about doing this.
I feel like I can just talk and that will be suffice.
I mean, it is what I'm best at...talking.
Actually, I'm typing...but I digress.
This is the Internet, they are one in the same.
Anyway, I digress. I've been wanting to do this for
a long time. Finally, I "conquered" by desire at six
in the morning due to my inabilities to sleep like
a normal person.
Well, here is what I want to do with all of this.
That's to talk about music. My utmost love in life.
Other then the mandatory loved ones. I'm not really
going to dive into it at this point but I just want
to get the word out that this shit is going down.
Side note: I tend to curse. So I really hope that
doesn't offend anyone. If so, let me know.
I want to hear others' opinions. I like arguing,
so bring it on please. I just want people to love
what I love and to understand why they need to love it.
I also plan on adding a streaming radio...
(once my boyfriend fixes it for me). I can function
a little better then the average Internet user but
my boyfriend does have to tackle the big stuff since
he is a genius.
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this and I really
hope it works out.
Good night/morning.
